According to the police, a wife and another person have been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a man in Gurugram.

The woman and her husband’s cousin have been found guilty of the murder that happened in November 2019.

Gurugram: A woman and another man have been sentenced to life in prison for her husband’s murder, police reported on Friday. The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Tarun Singal also imposed a fine of ₹10,000 on each of the convicts.

The woman and her husband’s cousin were found guilty of the November 2019 killing. According to the police, Sandeep was shot on the road from Sihi village to Dwarka Expressway. He was rushed to the hospital but died during treatment.

In his complaint, Sandeep’s brother accused his wife Jyoti and cousin Sachin of the murder. Following the complaint, an FIR for murder was registered at Sector 37 police station.

The Gurugram Police arrested the accused, gathered all necessary evidence, identified witnesses, and presented them in court. On Friday, Judge Tarun Singal sentenced both Jyoti and Sachin to life imprisonment and imposed fines.
